We made Roatan into a beach/ship day. Since we're from Florida, we can go to the beach anytime, so we figured we'd lay on the beach for about an hour and then come back and have the ship to ourselves.
Carnival has their own special port in Roatan with a nice shopping area and a beach. They also have a couple of bars.
I bought really cute "Just Married" flip-flops from Michaels to wear on our beach day. Yea, I highly recommend not buying them. They don't really make good enough indents in the sand for good pictures. They also kill your feet! We probably would have spent a little longer walking around the shops, but I had horrible blisters on my feet from less than an hour in these shoes.
We finally went and got back on the ship. We really wanted to play mini golf, so since no one was on the ship, this was our time to do it. We had the entire course to ourselves.
The rest of the day we just relaxed around the ship.
That night for dinner was really yummy.
For our appetizers, I had a Ceasar salad and J had chicken tenders marinated with thai spices. Their Ceasar salads are amazing. I've been craving one ever since we got off the ship.
For our entrees, I had veal parmigiana and J had penne with tomato and vodka sauce. I did not enjoy the veal at all. I think it actually made me sick later in the night.
Then for dessert, I had the infamous Warm Chocolate Melting Cake (which was actually horrible that night) and J had the chocolate raspberry creme cake which was recommended by the maitre de.
