I learned a few things throughout wedding planning that I wanted to share with you. Some of these might be absolutely stupid, but maybe it might be something you didn't think of.
- Don't buy expensive shoes if you're getting married outdoors. Might weren't terribly expensive, but I paid about $60 after dying and everything. Well, now the entire bottom is covered in mud and some of the dye bled from getting wet. I'm going to attempt to dye them black, but I'm not sure if it's possible. So keep this in mind before you buy shoes.
- Make sure to make an emergency kit for the day of the wedding. I had planned on making one, but I completely forgot about it in the hubbub of the last week. On the day of the wedding, we ended up needing safety pins and scissors and it took us forever to find either. Make this a priority!
- Spinning off of that, try to get everything done before the week before the wedding. We still had a lot of projects to do that week and we were very stressed out leading up until the wedding. I actually was still doing some projects the morning of the wedding. Try to let yourself relax this week and not have much to worry about.
- Get a hair and make-up trial if at all possible. I personally loved my hair and make-up and so did everyone else, except my mom. Her make-up turned out horribly and we ended up running late because of it. Don't let this happen to you on the wedding.
I'm sure there's more and if I think of them later, I'll post them. But please think about these things before the day. I really wish I would have.
