Most couples have coffee available for their guests to drink with their wedding cake. Not everyone is a coffee drinker though. I grew up in an English family and there is always tea for us to drink at every gathering. I would love to attend a wedding one day where there is tea available in addition to the coffee.
All you need to include tea in your coffee bar is an additional urn with hot water and the tea. The rest of the items (creamer, sugar, etc) can be used for both coffee and tea.
When deciding on tea, you have the options of using either tea bags or loose leaf tea.
If you are going to use tea bags, I suggest you purchase a couple different flavors to make sure there is something for everyone. Tea bags are relatively cheap, so you should be able to purchase about 4 different flavors for under $10. I would suggest getting a traditional English breakfast, a green tea, and then two other flavor that you think your guests would enjoy.
If you want to be a little fancier, consider buying loose leaf tea. It has a more robust flavor and is a little more expensive than tea bags. If you use loose leaf tea, you will also need a couple strainers, which you can purchase at kitchen supply stores. If you go the loose leaf tea route, I think you could easily get away with only have one or two flavors since they're more unique than bagged tea. Most grocery stores do not sell loose leaf tea, so you can purchase them from websites like Rare Tea Republic.
Are you planning on serving tea at your wedding reception?
