Favorite iPhone Apps for Travel

With an iPhone, you have access to all the important you need all in one little device.  So go ahead and allow your iPhone make your honeymoon easier by downloading these apps.  But make sure to set your phone to "Do Not Disturb", so your family isn't calling and bothering you while you're out having fun!

1. Trip Advisor (Free)

If you're used TripAdvisor on your computer, you'll be sure to love this app as well.  With TripAdvisor,  you have access all the best reviews at your fingertips.  Find a great hotel or an excursion to fill your afternoon. 

2. TripIt (Free)

I have been using TripIt for years, before it was ever an iPhone app.  But it's even better when you have access to it wherever you are.  All you have to do is forward all your confirmation emails to TripIt and it compiles it all into your account so you have access to it when you need it.

3. UrbanSpoon (Free)

Use their slot machine type app to find a restaurant in your location in any price range.  Shake your phone and it will pull up a restaurant for you to eat at.

4. OpenTable (Free)

Once you find a restaurant you want to eat at on UrbanSpoon, you can use OpenTable to help you reserve a seat.  It shows you how many tables are available at restaurants around you and allows you to reserve them through the app.

5. GasBuddy (Free)

If you're driving, you'll need to stop and get gas eventually.  GasBuddy will help you find the cheapest gas prices near your location.

6. PackingPro ($2.99)

If you're the type of person who often forgets things, I highly recommend downloading packing pro.  It will recommend packing lists for you depending on how many people are going and the climate of your location.

7. Sit or Squat (Free)

This app is great even if you're not traveling!  Sit or Squat shows you all the public bathrooms closet to you and also tells you whether they're in good or bad condition.

8. Weather Channel (Free)

Keep track of the weather while you're gone to make sure you don't get caught in a rain storm without an umbrella.
