When it comes to weddings that leave you hopelessly in love, Courtney + Tim’s lavish, contemporary, & ultra-chic wedding definitely delivers. After getting to know these love birds a little bit better we discovered a little fun & very cute fact about Courtney + Tim. Tim was actually Courtney’s very first boyfriend. The darling duo remained friends throughout high school and college & then rekindled their romance when both were living in Hoboken. After a year & a half of a remarkable romance, Tim proposed to Courtney in Central Park where friends of the couple awaited with cheers and joy across the lake, ahhhh love! After their engagement in Central Park, this lovely couple decided to keep the New York City scenery momentum going and instantly fell in love with New Jersey’s, The Liberty House, which includes a breathless backdrop of the one & only NYC skyline.
The NYC skyline actually served as inspiration for the vision of this stunning wedding, the beautiful bride opted for a more polished look for her wedding with a hint of art deco & of course, her favorite color, yellow. The gorgeous bride executed the polished look exquisitely by choosing an elegant mermaid cut gown by Henry Roth while infusing the love of art deco through her jewelry. For the stunning bridesmaids’ the bride chose a short, fun, and very chic strapless gown by Priscilla of Boston to compliment the August heat.
When it came to photography, the bride + groom knew that the only memories left of their big day would be captured through photographs and what better way to capture these memorable moments than by choosing a photographer that fit their personal style & comfort level, choosing the marvelous & talented Kate Connolly of Off BEET Productions, who not only delivered the most mesmerizing photos that we have ever laid our love-for-wedding eyes on, but she also advised the couple to do a “first look,” which gave the bride and groom an intimate, special moment for just the two of them before the ceremony, instead of seeing each other for the first time while walking down the aisle. The couple absolutely loved this idea & highly recommend it!
From the bride: "Tim and I grew up together in Mahwah, where he was actually my very first boyfriend. We remained friends through high school and college, and then reconnected while we were both living in Hoboken during our late 20’s.
After one and half years of dating, Tim proposed to me in Central Park. He claimed that we were going to the Central Park Boathouse, but in actuality had our friends put flower petals out in a circle near the lake, right across from the large fountain. I was so nervous and excited all at the same time, when I finally realized what was happening. I think he was too, because he opened the ring box upside down! After I said yes, he pointed across the lake, where our friends were jumping up and down and waving. He had asked them to stay so that they could take pictures during the proposal".
